Revenue Optimizer setup guide
Configure your Reservit Revenue Optimizer in four steps after purchase.
After purchasing the Reservit Revenue Optimizer module and connecting your Reservit API credentials in your ReserveWithIt account, follow these steps to complete configuration.
Step 1: Map Reservit room types
Navigate to Revenue Optimizer → Room Types in your ReserveWithIt account. The module automatically imports your room type list from the Reservit API. Review the imported room types and confirm each is correctly labelled. If Reservit returns room types with internal codes rather than readable names, you can apply display labels in this section.
Step 2: Select rate plans for optimisation
The Revenue Optimizer requires you to specify which Reservit rate plans it may modify. Navigate to Revenue Optimizer → Rate Plans. You will see your Reservit rate plans listed (imported via the API). Select the plans you want the module to push rate recommendations to. As a starting point, select only your BAR (Best Available Rate) plan — you can expand to additional plans after validating initial recommendations.
Step 3: Configure recommendation settings
In Revenue Optimizer → Settings, configure: Lead time window (how many days ahead recommendations are generated — default 90 days); Occupancy thresholds (at what occupancy % the module suggests rate increases vs. decreases — default: increase above 70%, decrease below 40%); Maximum rate movement (maximum % change per recommendation — default 15%); Minimum rate floor (the absolute minimum rate the module may recommend for each room type — always set this).
Step 4: Enable recommendations and set push mode
Choose between two push modes: Manual approval — each daily recommendation is shown in your dashboard for approval before being pushed to Reservit. Automatic push — approved recommendations are pushed to Reservit automatically without requiring daily login. Start with manual approval mode to validate the recommendations against your expectations before enabling automatic push.
Monitoring performance
The Revenue Optimizer dashboard shows: daily recommendations (approved, declined, pending); rates pushed to Reservit; and ADR vs. forecast. Review the dashboard weekly for the first month. If recommendations consistently conflict with your manual pricing judgement, adjust the thresholds in Step 3 rather than declining recommendations individually.
