1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owner. Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remaining on your device for a set period or until you delete them manually).
Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third parties whose content appears on the page ("third-party cookies"). We take a privacy-first approach and minimise the use of third-party cookies.
2. Our cookie practices — overview
ReserveWithIt uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, or social media tracking pixels. The only third-party cookies on reservewithit.org are those set by Google Fonts for font delivery; these do not include tracking or behavioural profiling.
We require your explicit consent (via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit) before setting any non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences or browser settings.

4. Essential cookies
Essential cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, accepting or declining cookies, or adding items to your cart. They do not store personally identifiable information. Essential cookies do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive, as they are strictly necessary to deliver the service you have requested.
The rw_cookie_choice cookie is set immediately on your first visit to store your consent decision. Without this cookie, we would need to ask for consent on every page visit, which would degrade the user experience.
The rw_session cookie is set only when you access your account dashboard via a secure access link. It expires after 30 minutes of inactivity and is deleted when you close your browser.
5. Functional cookies and localStorage
The shopping cart contents are stored in your browser's localStorage rather than as a traditional cookie. localStorage is a browser-side storage mechanism that does not transmit data to our server. Cart data stored in localStorage is accessible only to JavaScript running on reservewithit.org and persists until you clear your browser data or the cart is emptied at checkout. We use localStorage rather than cookies for this purpose to minimise server-side data handling.
Google Fonts: We load web fonts from Google's font delivery network (fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests a font file, Google's CDN may set a short-lived caching cookie on the gstatic.com domain. This cookie is used for CDN performance optimisation and is not used by Google for advertising or cross-site tracking. ReserveWithIt does not receive or process this cookie's value. 6. Analytics
ReserveWithIt does not currently use Google Analytics, Matomo, Mixpanel or any similar analytics platform on reservewithit.org. All usage statistics are derived from server-side access logs, which are anonymised within 14 days of collection. We do not use client-side analytics scripts that set third-party cookies.
If we introduce analytics tools in future, we will update this Cookie Policy at least 30 days in advance and request renewed consent where required.
7. Advertising and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or behavioural tracking technologies on reservewithit.org. We do not share your browsing data with advertising networks. If you see ReserveWithIt advertisements on other websites, they are served through platforms that use their own cookie practices, which are governed by the privacy policies of those platforms, not by this Cookie Policy.
8. How to manage cookies
8.1 Cookie banner: You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the cookie banner displayed on your first visit to reservewithit.org. Your choice is stored in the rw_cookie_choice cookie. To change your choice, clear this cookie from your browser and reload the page — the banner will reappear.
8.2 Browser settings: You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here are links to cookie management instructions for major browsers:

Note: Deleting essential cookies (particularly rw_session) will log you out of your ReserveWithIt account. Clearing localStorage will empty your shopping cart.
8.3 Opt-out of Google Fonts tracking (optional): If you wish to prevent any data from being sent to Google via font loading, you can use a content blocker (such as uBlock Origin) to block requests to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. This may affect the visual appearance of the website but will not affect functionality.
9. Cookies set by linked third-party services
When you follow links from reservewithit.org to third-party websites (including Reservit's own website, OTA platforms, or accounting system documentation), those websites may set their own cookies. We have no control over third-party cookies. This Cookie Policy applies only to reservewithit.org. Please refer to the cookie policies of third-party websites you visit for information about their cookie practices.
10. Duration and updates to this policy
This Cookie Policy is reviewed annually and updated whenever our cookie practices change. We will communicate material changes via the cookie banner on the website. The version number and last-updated date at the top of this policy identify the current version. Archived versions are available on request.
Consent records (what you consented to, on what date, and from what IP address — hashed) are retained for 13 months in accordance with the requirements of the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR's accountability principle (Art. 5(2)).
