Lesson 2: Configuring and optimising your Reservit modules

2.1 Revenue Optimizer configuration

The Revenue Optimizer requires three decisions on first setup: which room types to optimise (select all, or start with your highest-volume type); which rate plans the module may modify (start with BAR only); and the occupancy thresholds that trigger rate increases or decreases. Default thresholds: increase at 70%+, decrease at 40%βˆ’. Set a minimum rate floor for each room type before enabling the module.

Run in "Manual approval" mode for the first two weeks. Review each day's recommendations and note whether they align with your pricing judgement. Adjust thresholds if recommendations are consistently too aggressive or too conservative. Enable "Auto push" only when you are confident in the recommendation logic.

2.2 Email Automation configuration

Email Automation comes with four pre-configured templates: booking confirmation, pre-arrival (sent 3 days before arrival), post-stay review request (sent 24 hours after checkout), and win-back (sent 90 days after last stay). Each template is editable in the module's template editor. Customise the sender name, subject line and email body to match your property's brand voice.

Review the default Reservit webhook configuration in your account: navigate to Email Automation β†’ Webhook β†’ Status. The module registers a webhook with your Reservit account automatically on activation β€” verify this shows "Connected" in the Reservit administration panel under Integrations β†’ Webhooks.

2.3 Accounting Sync configuration

Accounting Sync requires: your accounting system type (Sage, Cegid, Odoo, or generic API); the API credentials for your accounting system; and the daily transfer schedule (default: 06:00 CET, processing previous day's Reservit night audit data). For Sage and Cegid, a pre-built field mapping is provided. For Odoo, review the default field mapping against your Odoo chart of accounts and adjust where necessary.

2.4 Reporting Plus dashboard setup

Create your first Reporting Plus dashboard: navigate to Reporting Plus β†’ Dashboards β†’ New Dashboard. Add KPI tiles: drag and drop from the available metric list (occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, arrivals, net revenue, pickup 7-day, channel contribution). Save the dashboard and set the refresh frequency (default: 15 minutes for occupancy/ADR; daily for pickup and channel contribution). Share the dashboard URL with your revenue management team.

Module health monitoring

From Modules β†’ Status, you can see the last successful sync time and error log for each active module. Set up email alerts for sync failures at Modules β†’ Alerts β†’ Configure. The recommended alert setting is: email immediately on any sync failure lasting more than 30 minutes.
